On Sunday June 11th we celebrated our tenth anniversary in glorious sunshine – with almost 70 people gathered in the gardens outside the house! There were people from far and near: people who had been part of Lyn’s House from the very beginning, as well as lots of newer friends and supporters.
We tried to express what belonging to Lyn’s House means to us – in words, actions and mime!
Those things included
- the way we all support each other
- friendship (the group above is spelling out ‘friendship’!)
- good food
- praying together
- fun
- being together
- being there in the long term for each other
We had some lovely food, and an amazing cake made specially for us!
And we said thank you to some people who were leaving or changing their roles in Lyn’s House.
We’re deeply grateful for all the gifts and all the learning and deepening of the last ten years – and all the ways so many of us have been changed forever because of our life together. Here’s to all that God may invite us to in the years to come…!
